306. George Steward (Steward) Bryan3,16,128,130,131,136,261,292,293,294,295,296,297,298,299,300,301. Birth: 9 November 1869, Sevier County, Tennessee.16,298 Family records list his birth year as 1870 and his death certificate says that he was born in 1871. However, he must have been born in 1869 because he was six months old at the time of the 1870 census. Also, family records list his birth date as 9 Nov 1870 and his death certificate says that he was born 17 Aug 1871. The official census date for 1870 was 1 Jun 1870. Therefore, he most likely was born in late 1869 and the 9 Nov 1869 dates seems to be the most likely.

The informant was Steward's son George Elmore Bryan. In addition to being listed as the informant, there is a note in the margin that says G. E. Bryan, Rte 4, Box 338, Rossville, Ga. Steward's parents were Peter H. Bryan and Mary Ann (Polly Ann) Cate. Steward's son George did know who Steward's mother was, and apparently George didn't know who Steward's father was, either. The Will Bryan who was listed as the father was really Steward's oldest brother.

Benjamin Bosworth Bryan296,300,301. Birth: 11 May 1910, Knox County, Tennessee.300 Benjamin's birth date is a bit of a guess. He died on 20 Aug 1912, and his obituary states that he was age 2 years and 4 months. That would place his birth date at about April 1910. His brother Bert was born on 11 May 1910. Therefore, the best guess is that Benjamin and Bert were twins, both born on 11 May 1910.
