Peters, Robert E. - age 81, of Halls, died at 7:58 p.m. Tuesday, March 21st, 1989 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. The family will receive friends 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday. Chapel service to follow at 8:30 p.m., Rev. Carl Cowan officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the Mortuary to leave In procession for an 11 a.m. graveside service and Interment at Greenwood Cemetery. PETERS, MARY HUDSON - age 88, of Halls, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 1, 2003, at St. Mary's Medical Center. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Robert Earl Peters; parents, John and Martha Hudson, brother, T.C. Hudson; special aunt and uncle, John and Eva Holloway. She is survived by son, James B. "Pete" Peters and fiance, Marie Russell of Knoxville; grandchildren, Kelly Stemeye, Boyd and Mindy Peters, Eric and Becky Peters, all of Knoxville; great- grandchildren, Travis, Josh, Danielle, Justin and Jeremy Peters, Kaylin Stemeye; sisters, Lucille Jenkins of Powell, Vera Griffitt of Laverni, Texas, and several special nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in Stevens Chapel, Rev. Priscilla Bryan and Rev. Derrell Brewer officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Thursday at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service and interment.
