Retired from Union Carbide after many years of service. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Edna Holloway Peters, Knoxville; daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Dr. Ray King, Andersonville, Lois and William Goddard, Halls; grandchildren, Melissa and Brian Goddard, Lisa King Smith, Steven King, all of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service 4 p.m. Sunday, Gentry-Griffey Chapel, Rev. David A. Starling officiating. Interment Tennessee Valley Memory Gardens. She was cafeteria manager of Norwood School for over 20 years before retiring. Preceded in death by husband, Samuel Arthur Peters.
