She appeared on the 1860 census but not on the 1870 census, and there is no marriage record for her between 1860 and 1870. So I assume she died before 1870. (RGB)

Amanda Isabella Peters21 was born on 8 October 1859 in Tennessee. The only known source for Amanda's middle name is her mother's application for a Civil War widow's pension. The pension application states that Martha French was the only person still living who was present at Amanda's birth except for the mid-wife, who was living in Texas. She appeared in the census in 1860 in Roane County, Tennessee. Amanda B. 8/12 f w TN. Her name was Amanda Isabella, and it seems likely that this census entry is listing her name as if it were Amanda Belle. She appeared in the census in 1870 in Anderson County, Tennessee. Amanda J. 10 f w TN attended school, cannot W., enumerated in the household of her sister Mary J. Peters and Mary's husband A. James Samsel.
