Death: 21 May 1949, age 68, Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee. Mrs Ida Prosise, died Saturday at 9:30 P.M. May 21, 1949, at the Fort Sanders Hospital in Knoxville. Mrs Prosise 68 had been ill for the past 3 months and confined to the hospital for 11 days. The funeral service was held Tuesday at 3:30 P.M. at the first Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Turner, the Rev. Frank Cliffton and the H.L. Smith officating. Burial was in the Sunset Cemetery. Holly of Clinton had charge of the arrangements. Mrs Prosise is survived by 2 sons, The Rev, Ernest H. Prosise of Clinton and C.C. Prosise of Phoenix Ariz; one brother Sam Lewallen of Zanesville, Ohio; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.Burial was on May 24, 1949.
