Burial: about 24 October 1896, Old Clinton Baptist Church Cemetery, Anderson County, Tennessee. Grave marker: Procise, Jane P. 09-14-1852 10-28-???? There is an issue concerning the date of Jemima Jane's death as compared to the date of birth of her youngest son. Conventionally, Jane's date of death is listed as 22 Oct 1885 and Samuel M. Prosise's birth is listed as Jul 1886. This is of course impossible. I believe that one explanation is that Jane died on 22 Oct 1886. In addition, Phyllis Peterson has a photograph which on the back says that Jane was born 14 Sep 1852 and died 22 Oct 1896. That would be another possibility. I'm going to go with the 1896 date for now. (RGB)
