Death: about 1864, age 43.⁸⁴ I believe that William J. Peters was the son of Thomas Peters and Sarah B. (Jenny) England, but it is not proven. My evidence is two-fold. 1) A process of elimination. Thomas appears from the 1830 census data to have had sons, all the other Peters lines in Anderson County appear to have been accounted for, nobody lists any sons for Thomas, so my first guess is to attach otherwise unattached Peters males of the correct age to Thomas (pretty weak, I know). 2) William/Wilburn Peters and John W. Peters sold land to George W. Keith 31 Dec 1841, and the land was adjacent to land owned by Thomas Peters. This suggests that John W. Peters and William/Wilburn Peters might have been sons of Thomas. Again this is very weak, but it is all I have at this point.
