Amelia (Milly) England and Jesse C. Cross.
Marriage: about 1829, [Anderson County], [Tennessee], Amelia (Milly) England, to Jesse C. Cross. The 1829 date is uncertain and is based on the birth date of their first child John E. Cross who was born about 1830. Jesse and Milly were not enumerated as a couple in their own household in 1830. Their was a male and female household of Milly's mother Vesta Zipporah Choate who were the right age to have been Jesse and Milly. There was a male household of Jesse's father William Cross who was the right age to have been Jesse, but there was no female in William's household who was the right age to have been Milly.

Age 20-29, probably enumerated in the household of his father William Cross. However, it's also possible that he was enumerated household of his mother-in-law Vesta Zipporah Choate who in 1830 was the widow of John England. Jesse was married about 1829, but the exact date of the marriage is not known. The marriage could have been before or after the census, and there is no way to be certain of the household in which Jesse was living at the time of the census.
Birth of Child: about 1834, William R. Cross, parent age: 30. He appeared in the tax list in 1837 in Anderson County, Tennessee. Dist. 8, Jesse Cross, 1 poll. He was probably living on his father's land in Dist. 8 because he didn't own any land of his own in 1837.
