Mrs. Carrie Belle Sanburn, 61, Huntsville, wife of W. T. Sanburn died here yesterday evening at 6 o'clock at Woodland Hospital. She had been ill since Aug. 5 and a patient at the hospital since Aug. 10. Mrs Sanburn is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Oliver Halterman, Moberly, and Mrs. John Lewis, Huntsville; two sons, Aubrey Sanburn, Moberly, and Nichols Sanburn, Huntsville; one granddaughter, Mary Margaret Lewis; two brothers, Aubrey Nichols and Tom Nichols, of Huntsville, and three sisters: Mrs. George Furman, Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. Walter Bagbee and Mrs. John Duncan, Huntsville. Mrs. Sanburn, the daughter of the late Perry and Delia Nichols, was born and reared near Huntsville. She was married March 25, 1903, and had lived in Huntsville over thirty years. She assisted her husband in operating a grocery store in Huntsville until a few months ago when they sold the store and retired. She joined the Mt. Salem Baptist church early in life, and later became a member of the Huntsville Baptist Church. She was a member of Berean Class of this church. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Baptist church in Huntsville by the Rev. B. R. Heaton of Montgomery, with burial in Huntsville. Burial: 24 August 1937, Huntsville City Cemetery, Huntsville, Randolph County, Missouri.¹⁵
