Elijah Caywood Nichols, (known as Doc by all of his friends) oldest son of Elijah Nichols, was born in Jefferson County, Tennessee, 1867. 1 never knew Elijah Caywood personally. He owned a large farm and a Ferry around Kimberlain Heights, on the French Broad River in Tennessee. He married a young lady by the name of Hodge. To this union eight daughters were born, namely. Nellie, Mamie, Clarice, Grace, Louvene, Kathleen, Edna, Anna.

I am sorry I do not know more about this fine Nichols family. These children are the nieces of Adam S. Nichols who was beloved by all.
