Lelia Cox Rimmer, age 98, a long-time resident of the Amherst Community died Tuesday, June 1, 2004. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church and the widow of Claude Eugene Rimmer. Mrs. Rimmer is survived by her children, J.W. and Margaret Rimmer of Maryville, Blanche Kenley of Talbott, Robert and Patricia Rimmer of Rockford, Agnes and R.L. Kirby of Knoxville, Raymond and Linda Rimmer of Rockford, Curtis and Ethel Rimmer of Crossville; son-in-law, Roy Edwards of Jefferson City; 21 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service 7:30 p.m. Friday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with Rev. Perry Duncan officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery in Jefferson County Saturday for a 10:00 a.m. interment service with Rev. Dwight Kinney officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, Memorial Fund, 2004 Amherst Rd., Knoxville, TN 37921. The family will receive friends 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.

She was buried on 5 June 2004 at Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery in Jefferson County, Tennessee.160
