William Slaydon and Susannah Flippin were my fourth great grandparents.  They were the parents of my third great grandfather Thomas Fielden Slaton, who was already in Tennessee in 1850.

I do not know who Ralph Slaton was, but he was probably related to the William Slaton family who was enumerated on the same page.  Indeed, it seems likely that he was William and Susannah's son, and that perhaps he was being cared for by the Thomas Cave family (note that Ralph Slaton was an invalid).

Melissa Jane (Jane) Webster married Eli C. May on 29 Apr 1861, probably in Roane County, Tennessee.  Eli was the nephew of my fourth great grandmother Margarethe Elizabeth (Peggy) May.

John Webster's wife was Elizabeth G. Anderson.
