Benjamin Leach (Ben) Peters Jr. age 29 was the son of Benjamin Leach (Ben) Peters Sr. and Amanda C. (Manda) Hacker.  Ben Peters Sr. was the son of Tobias Peters Jr. and Martha Miranda (Marthy) Mays, and the grandson of Tobias Peters Sr. and Elizabeth Rachel Scarborough.  There is no proven connection between the Tobias Peters Sr. line of Anderson County, Tennessee and my three Peters lines in Anderson County which all go back to Henry Peters Sr.  However, Tobias Sr. and Henry Sr. are suspected of having been brothers, and DNA evidence suggests that they were closely related.

Callie M. Robinson age 33 was the daughter of George M. Robinson and Victoria L. Jackson.  Callie and Ben were married on 26 Dec 1909 in Loudon County.

Joseph A. (Joe) Bray age 70 was my second great grandfather.  He was the son of my third great grandparents Edward Payne Bray and Anna F. Messamore.

Martha Lillie Mae (Lillie) Bray age 30 was Joseph's youngest daughter.  Lillie was the sister of my great grandmother Mary Mahala Jane (Mahala or Haley) Bray.

I have provisionally listed Lillie Bray as having married a Mr. Paula and have listed her son's name as Robert Paula.  Indeed, this census entry says that Lillie was widowed.  However, I cannot find any record of a marriage for Lillie, nor any record of anybody living in Loudon County or surrounding counties whose surname was Paula.  I have also looked for the surname Paul without success.  Lillie died in 1924 in Loudon County, and her death certificate lists her name as Martha L. M. Bray.  So perhaps she never married and perhaps her son Robert was born out of wedlock.  And in any case, I cannot find Robert in the 1930 census, neither as Robert Bray nor as Robert Paula or Robert Paul.

This is not yet proven, but I believe that the Robert Lee age 14 from this census entry was the Robert E. Lee that later married Mary Edna (Edna) Bray.  The Robert E. Lee for whom I am searching was born 13 Sep 1906 according to the Social Security Death Index.  He well could have really have been born in 1903 or 1904, assuming that the Robert Lee in this census entry was the same person.  Ollie Lee age 22 was Robert's sister, and she had married Martin Jenkins.

Edna was the daughter of Joseph Edward (Edward) Bray and Mary Docia (Dosie) Stalcup.  As such, Edna was the niece of my great grandmother Mary Mahala Jane (Mahala or Haley) Bray.
