These voting rolls can serve as a very poor surrogate for the 1890 census, which was destroyed by fire.
The book in the library was not a transcription. Rather, it was photocopies made from micro-film.

Tobias C. Peters was the son of James Peters and Rachel McCart, and the grandson of Tobias Peters Sr. and Elizabeth Rachel Scarborough. It seems likely that the middle name of Tobias C. Peters was Carpenter, but this is not proven. |
