Jonathan Wallace was the son of John Wallace III and Abby Burns Reynolds.  Two of his sisters had married Bray brothers and were living next door.  His father John Wallace III was living with him.  His wife was Mary J. Rutherford.  His mother Abby Burns Reynolds was living next door with his brother-in-law James Rutherford, as was his sister Milly.  The somewhat unorthodox arrangement of the two families between the two houses may have been related to the fact that his father was blind, and may have needed special care.
