Allen Dennis Bryan was the son of William G. Bryan and Lucinda (Lucy) Cate.  As such, Allen was the double first cousin of my third great grandfather Peter H. Bryan.  I'm not sure exactly who Allen was named for.  He was the grandson of my fifth great grandfather Peter Bryan.  One of Peter's younger brothers was Allen S. Bryan Sr., and the given name "Allen" appears many times in the family.

Allen died in the Civil War, so this is the last census in which he appeared.

Allen's wife was Cassandra Frances (Cassie) Damron.
