Sources | Descendants of Reuben Cox and Susannah PadgettMy Cox ancestor is my grandmother Ruby Priscilla Cox. The immigrant into Tennessee was Reuben Cox who moved from Wilkes County, North Carolina to Greene County, Tenessee in the early 1800's. I have not yet identified the ancestors for Reubin Cox. My Cox line was in Greene County for several generations, and then hooked up first with the Nichols and then with the Bryans in Jefferson County and Sevier County.
