Therefore, the most likely conclusion is that he died before the 1870 census. Some researchers give his date of death as 6 Aug 1893, but that is the date of death of his brother Wiley R. England Sr. There is ample evidence that Richard and Wiley were different individuals and that Richard wasn't simply Wiley's middle name.
