Morgan County Court Minutes p.5: A. R. Lewallen guardian of W. C. Peters, a minor of Leander J. Peters, dec'd, made settlement which was accepted . The settlement shows that the said Lewallen has drawn from the government $166 since his last settlement. Lewallen, renewed his bond. (Leander's wife Nancy Derick Carpenter married second Andrew Russell Lewallen. Andrew Lewallen became the stepfather and guardian of Leander's son Wesley C. Peters. I believe that the money drawn from the government by Andrew Lewallen may have been a Civil War pension for Wesley C. Peters, but I need to verify the source of the money.)

Nancy was buried on 28 December 1914 in Lewallen Cemetery, Scott County or Morgan County, Tennessee.85 Her death certificate says that she was buried in the "Lewallen Graveyard". However, there are two Lewallen Cemeteries in Scott County, and one Lewallen Cemetery in Morgan County. I do now know which one she was buried in. (RGB)
