Sources | Descendants of Tobias Peters Sr. and Elizabeth Rachel ScarboroughTo my knowledge, I am not descended from Tobias Peters Sr. I have three Peters lines which I believe go back to Henry Peters Sr. Tobias and Henry are suspected of having been brothers, but there is no proof of this suspicion and their respective parents are not known. Tobias and Henry were both married in Greenbrier County, Virginia, and they both moved to (now) Anderson County, Tennessee in 1797. They moved with the Scarbroughs, and the area where they first settled is called the Scarbrough community to this day. Tobias and Henry founded the Peters family in Anderson County, and I have not yet found a Peters in Anderson, Morgan, or Roane counties who I can prove was descended from somebody other than Tobias or Henry.| Table of Contents | | | Contact Information | Jerry Bryan
