Clarence Messamore was the son of George Henry (Henry) Messamore and Ida M. Altum. Clarence was the great grandson of James Messamore and Sarah (Sary) Heath of Anderson County, Tennessee. James was the brother of my third great grandmother Anna F. Messamore. John Messamore, brother of James and Anna, moved to Illinois in 1852. But James and Anna stayed in Tennessee as did most of their descendants. So Clarence was from a branch of the family that moved to Illinois much later. |
