Catherine Misemer was the daughter of Johann Michael (Michael) Misemer.  Michael was the brother of my fourth great grandfather William/Wilhelm Messamore.

In 1850, Catherine was the widow of Jacob Harmon Sr.  Her son Jacob Harmon Jr. was living two houses away in dwelling number 449.

(Note: Catherine was certainly the widow of Jacob Harmon Sr.  However, I think that there's at least a chance that she was the sister of Johann Michael (Michael) Misemer rather than being his daughter.)

Nancy Ann Pierce age 10 was my second great grandmother who married my second great grandfather John Tivis Cox.  According to family tradition, my third great grandfather James E. Pierce age 46 was born in England rather than in Tennessee as stated in the census.

James E. Pierce age 46 was married three times.  William age 20, John age 18, Mary age 16, Nancy age 10, and James age 8 were children of his first marriage to my third great grandmother Anny Green.

Thomas age 4 was the child of James E. Pierce's second marriage to Mary (Polly) Doty.

Experience (Spriddy) Wells age 30 was James E. Pierce's third wife.  Andrew age 10 and Lorinda age 8 were the children of Spriddy Wells and her first husband Thomas Mitchell.

Claudius age 4 was the son of Experience Wells and her second husband Aaron Cox.  I don't know why he was listed as Claudius Mitchell rather than as Claudius Cox.  Claudius was enumerated as Claudius Mitchell in 1860, and as Claudius Cox in 1880.

James E. Pierce and Spriddy Wells did have children together.  But they were not married until 1850, and none of their children had yet been born at the time of the 1850 census.

Barbara Messimer was the daughter of Johann Michael Misemer and Mary.  At the time of the 1850 census, Barbara was the widow of Joseph Kirk Sr.  Jacob Messimer age 70 was Barbara's brother.  I believe that Johann Michael Misemer was the brother of my fourth great grandfather Wilhelm/William Messamore, so that Barbara and Jacob were William's niece and nephew, respectively.

Joseph Kirk Jr. age 31 was the son of Joseph Kirk Sr. and Barbara Messimer.  Eliza J. Laughner was the daughter of John Laughner and Mary Rader.  Louisa Laughner was Eliza's sister.  Orville and Granville were the sons of Joseph Kirk Jr. and Eliza J. Laughner.  I haven't yet figured out who Susannah Glascock was.
