He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jefferson City, and an employee of MARTA in Atlanta. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Slover of Riverdale, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Slover Brooks and Barry Brooks; grandsons, Brandon and Bryan Brooks; mother, aunt Velma Winstead, and several cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2002, from the Farrar Funeral Home Chapel in Jefferson City with Reverend Stuart Albee officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the funeral home. Arrangements by Farrar Funeral Home, 411 W. Survivors: daughter, Mrs. Barbara Clark, Knoxville, Mrs. Odell (Mary Lou) Slover, Riverdale, Ga.; sons, John Blackburn, Dandridge, Lynn N. Blackburn, Jr., Long Beach, Miss.; five grandchildren; brother, James Blackburn, Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. The body was removed to Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge. Complete arrangements to be announced later by Farrar Funeral Home, Dandridge.
