Mrs. Laura C. Green, of Knoxville. Tenn , died in a local hospital Saturday morning after she became ill while visiting a daughter here. Preparations for shipment of the body to Lenora (sic) City, Tenn , are being made by Musgrove Funeral Home. Funeral services and burial will be in Lenora (sic) City. Mrs. Green, 72, is survived by|her daughter in Claremore, Mrs. B. G. Dunlap, and another daughter, Mrs. C. J Wood, Fort Bragg, N. C.; and three sons, Avery Green of the Air Force and Thomas Green of the Army, both stationed in Germany and Rufus Green, Marysville (sic), Tenn.2

Survivors: widow, Phenie Hipps; three sons, Avery and Woody, in the Air Forces; Rufus, in the Marines; two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Madison and Mrs. Wilma Sliger, Oak Ridge; four brothers, Mose, Knoxville; Henry, Avery and Lee, Lenoir City; three sisters, Mrs. Oddie Kagley and Mrs. Rosa Milton, Lenoir City; and Mrs. Geneva Woods, Alabama. The Rev. J. D. Babb will be officiating pastor. The body will lie in state at Bierley’s until the funeral service.

The body will arrive in Lenoir City at 6 a.m. Saturday and be taken to Hawkins Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Funeral, 2 p.m. Sunday, Hawkins chapel. Burial in City Cemetery, with full military honors by American Legion Post No. 70.

    Green - Services for William, 78, who died at Oak Ridge at 8:15 p. m. Thursday, will be held at Bierley’s Chapel in Lenoir City at 2 p. m. today. Burial will be in the city cemetery. Survivors: widow, Phenie Hipps; three sons, Avery and Woody, in the Air Forces; Rufus, in the Marines; two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Madison and Mrs. Wilma Sliger, Oak Ridge; four brothers, Mose, Knoxville; Henry, Avery and Lee, Lenoir City; three sisters, Mrs. Oddie Kagley and Mrs. Rosa Milton, Lenoir City; and Mrs. Geneva Woods, Alabama. The Rev. J. D. Babb will be officiating pastor. The body will lie in state at Bierley’s until the funeral service.
