That Conference ought to have records that would confirm (or deny) whether anyone with the same name as your ancestor was a Methodist minister in that area during the time period. The 1920 Texas Census for Ft.Worth, Tarrant, Texas: Enumeration Distict 119, sheet 4, line 26, list Grover Breckenridge as having been born in Missouri and his parents having been born in Kentucky. This firms up the connection between him and his parents John Brooks and Phoebe Kate (Dupont) Breckenridge. The discrepency in age maybe due to reading error of the 1900 census, 1888 may have been 1880. Grover and Vontrice Breckenridge were living at 515 Paggent Ave, Ft. Worth, Texas in the 1920.
