Obituary | ![]() YADON DIES. Bayard Yadon, one of my favorite newspapermen, died Monday morning and I was hurt when I heard about it. As the News-Sentinel said, he was a pipe-smoking, philosophical person. I used to work with Yadon and he was sort of a philosopher. In a calm sort of way he would say funny things that would put me to roaring and he and I used to back off in corners and tell each other all the latest pokes we'd heard. Although I haven't seen him but two or three times in a couple of years, I know I'll miss him.13 |
