This is not yet proven, but I believe that the Robert Lee age 6 from this census entry was the Robert E. Lee that married Mary Edna (Edna) Bray.  The Robert E. Lee for whom I am searching was born 13 Sep 1906 according to the Social Security Death Index.  He well could have really have been born in 1903 or 1904, assuming that the Robert Lee in this census entry was the same person.  In any case, I believe that Riley and Mary had been married for about 29 years rather than 33 years.  Mary may have been younger than 44, but her age is not completely clear.

Edna was the daughter of Joseph Edward (Edward) Bray and Mary Docia (Dosie) Stalcup.  As such, Edna was the niece of my great grandmother Mary Mahala Jane (Mahala or Haley) Bray.

Laura E. Messamore was the daughter of William T. Messamore and Catherine J. Lacey.  Laura married I. Grover Kidwell in March of 1910, just two months before the census.  The census says she was 16 years old, but by my reckoning she was only 15 and would not have been 16 until August.

William was the son of James Messamore (Jr.) and Susannah/Susan Ann (Annie) Altum, and the grandson of James Messamore (Sr.) and Sarah (Sary) Heath.  The elder James Messamore was the brother of my third great grandmother Anna F. Messamore.

Alexander Russell and Mahala A. (Haley) Lively were the parents of Barbara E. Russell who married James Edward (Jim) Messamore in 1905.  Jim and Barbara were living two houses away in 1910 (see below).

Jim Messamore was the son of Thomas Harvey Messamore and Susan Elizabeth Long, and the grandson of James Messamore and Sarah (Sary) Heath.  As such, Jim Messamore was the grandnephew of my third great grandmother Anna F. Messamore.

I'm confident that Mahala A. (Haley) Lively was really 43 years old in 1910 rather than 40.  So she was married at age 14 or 15 rather than at age 12.

William Jackson Taylor was the son of Samuel James (Sam) Taylor and Nancy Ann Bray.  Nancy was the daughter of Joseph A. Bray and Sarah L. Duncan.  As such, Nancy was the niece of my third great grandfather Edward Payne Bray.

The more interesting person in this census entry is Cassie Wright.  Cassie was the daughter of Marshall Martin (Martin) Wright and Sarah E. Bray.  The fact that Cassie was William Jackson Taylor's niece confirms that Sarah was William Jackson Taylor's sister.

Sarah was the daughter of Nancy Ann Bray and was raised by Nancy and her husband Samuel James (Sam) Taylor.  However, Sarah was born before Nancy and Sam were married, and Sarah's father is unknown.  Hence, William Jackson Taylor and Sarah E. Bray were probably half brother and sister rather than being full brother and sister.

Alva Edward Peters age 39 and Sallie Jane Cole age 39 were my great grandparents.  Ernest Lester (Lester) Peters Sr. age 15 was my grandfather  The others were Aunt Elzie age 11, Aunt Ella age 8, Uncle Birchel age 5 (William Birchel Peters was known as Birchel), and Uncle Bob age 2.  All were in reality my grandaunts and granduncles rather than my aunts and uncles.

Alva's mother was my second great grandmother Hulda Asberine (Asberine or Asby) Cross age 64 who married my second great grandfather John Henry PetersJohn died in 1890.

Sallie Jane Cole was the daughter of my second great grandparents William Cole and Vesta Clay England.

Hulda Asberine (Asberine or Asby) Cross was the daughter of my third great grandparents Alfred Carter Cross and Jane Peters.  Just to make things more complicated, Jane Peters was the first cousin once removed of John Henry Peters, and John Henry Peters and Hulda Asberine (Asberine or Asby) Cross were second cousins who married.

Hudsel Peters age 20 was Alva's brother.  Hudsel's name is usually given as Henry Hudsel Peters rather than Hudsel Henry.

Peters, brother of my great grandfather Alva Edward Peters who married Sallie Jane Cole.  So the respective children of the two sisters were double first cousins.  Namely, William Elmer (Elmer) Peters age 16, Janette Hazel (Nettie) Peters age 13, and Menta Reese (Recie) Peters age 9 were the double first cousins of my grandfather Ernest Lester (Lester) Peters.  Robert A. Peters died in 1905, so Mollie was a widow at the time of the 1910 census.

Vesta Clay England age 70 was the daughter of John England and Jane (Jenny) PetersVesta married first William Cole and married second Chesley J. Scarbrough.  So she is remembered in the family as Grandma Vestie or as Grandma Scarbrough rather than as Grandma Cole.
